Man rescued alive in Shenzhen after 67 hours - China Landslide

A man buried in rubble for almost three days after a landslide hit an area of the south Chinese city of Shenzhen has been pulled out alive.

The landslide, which struck early on Sunday, engulfed more than 30 buildings in an industrial district.

At least four bodies have been recovered so far. More than 70 people are still missing.

The landslide happened when a huge man-made mound of earth and construction waste collapsed after heavy rains.

The government has opened an official investigation into the incident, after it emerged that authorities had previously issued warnings about the mound.

The 19-year-old survivor was found around 04:00 local time on Wednesday (20:00 GMT Tuesday), after being buried for 67 hours. He has been named as Tian Zeming, a migrant worker from Chongqing in south-western China.

Officials say he was found in an extremely weak condition in an excavated hole under the building's roof. He was severely dehydrated and had a crushed leg. Rescuers took about two hours to safely pull him out.

Oregon: 20-foot-deep sinkhole closes Beef Bend Road

Beef Bend Road has been closed indefinitely near Southwest 146th Avenue after a 20-foot-deep sinkhole opened along the popular road just outside of Tigard city limits.

According to Victoria Saager, a spokeswoman with the Washington County Department of Land Use and Transportation, the sinkhole is about 1.7 miles west of Pacific Highway.

The hole is about two feet wide on the shoulder of Beef Bend Road at Southwest 146th Avenue, but reportedly etends about five feet under the road's surface, Saager said. The hole is about 20 feet deep.

At its closest approach on Christmas Eve. Asteroid 2003 SD220 will be 6.6 million miles from Earth. The Asteroid will reach its closest point at 13:00 GMT and will not be visible to the naked eye,

A strong Earthquae has hit Reno, Nevada on Tuesday Night.

At 10:50pm Local people reported feeling the Earthquake.

At 11:20pm the USGS (United States Geological Service) reports the Earthquake of 4.3 magnitude at a depth of 9.6km

The Epinceter of the Earthquake is reported to be 3.5 mile Galena High School.

No Injury to people or property have been reported.
