Iran threatens Israel with retaliation after death of guard in Syria Attack.

 

Tehran on Friday threatened retaliation following the death of an Iranian revolutionary guard in Syria by a suspected Israeli air strike.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported that the Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) military adviser was killed on Friday morning near the Syrian capital Damascus.

It was the second Israeli airstrike within 24 hours, according to Syrian sources.

The state agency SANA said two Syrian soldiers had already been injured in an attack on Thursday.

However, the Israeli military did not comment on the attack.

Recall that earlier in the month, an Israeli bomb had hit Aleppo’s airport.

A week ago, a U.S. military contractor was killed and several U.S soldiers were injured following a drone attack on a military base in north-eastern Syria.

The U.S. military blamed the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and then flew attacks on targets belonging to their allies.

U.S. troops were sent to Syria in 2015 to support the fight against the Islamic State terrorist militia (IS).

Experts had, however, warned of an escalation after the attacks.

Israel regularly attacks the neighbouring country in an effort to prevent Iran from expanding its military influence with the help of militias.

Russia and Iran are Syria’s most important allies.

Open the Gates of the Temple Mount! Rabbis Urge Netanyahu

 

Fifteen prominent rabbis have asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to open the gates of the Temple Mount to Jewish religious observance next week. In particular, they want to offer a Passover sacrifice on the Temple Mount when the biblical holiday begins next Wednesday evening.

“We have been blessed by God’s grace that the place of the Temple is under Jewish control, and to the extent that the State of Israel sees the offering of the Passover sacrifice as a national interest first and foremost, as it should be, we want to offer the Passover sacrifice in its rightful place and at its rightful time despite all the difficulties,” the rabbis wrote in a letter addressed to the prime minister and his Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir.

The “difficulties” to which they referred have to do primarily with the expected violent reaction of the Muslim world, which today sees the Temple Mount as Islam’s third holiest site.

Same thing happened during the time of Jesus Christ on the tenth day of Nissan he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

The people chanted "Hosanna to the son of David"

They also chanted "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" ~ Matt 21

Interestingly enough Jesus in Matthew 23 then made a prophecy, while standing on the Temple mount, that Israel would not see him again (second coming) until they shall say

So in summary, we are waiting on Israel saying "Blessed is he who comes i n the name of the lord" to bring about the second coming, the man child being brought forward in the heavens. 10th of Nissan (palm day) is the day that Israel chanted that very same things when Jesus rode into Jerusalem. Netanyahu rejects Biden's call to drop Israel judicial overhaul

 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reacted angrily to comments by the US president, who urged him to walk away from his controversial judicial reform plans.

"They cannot continue down this road," Joe Biden told reporters.

Mr Netanyahu later tweeted that Israel would make its own decisions, "not based on pressures from abroad".

It comes after protests this week brought Israel to a standstill, forcing him to pause the proposals.

The protests have intensified since Mr Netanyahu returned to power at the end of last year, leading the most right-wing, nationalist government in Israel's history and promising to curb the powers of the judiciary.

His plans would give the government full control over the committee which appoints judges and would ultimately strip the Supreme Court of crucial powers to strike down legislation that it saw as effectively unconstitutional.

Mr Netanyahu says they would stop the courts over-reaching their powers and that they were voted for by the public at the last election. But most legal scholars say they would effectively destroy the independence of the judiciary, while opposition figures describe them as an attempted "regime coup".

Jordanian Islamic Waqf Calls to Fortify Temple Mount Against Jews

 

A senior official in the Jordanian Waqf Islamic Authority has called for the fortification of the Temple Mount in advance of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which is set to begin later this week.

Najah Kirat, deputy head of the Waqf, warned in an article posted on Palestinian Authority social media and news media that “things will get worse” this year.

Freddy: The deadly cyclone that lasted more than a month

 

Malawi, Madagascar and Mozambique are reeling from the effects of Tropical Cyclone Freddy.

More than 400 people have been killed and thousands of homes destroyed.

Freddy has been one of the longest-lived storms ever recorded in the Southern Hemisphere, if not the whole world.

Southern Africa is often battered by cyclones and tropical storms coming in from the Indian Ocean but Freddy was different for several reasons.

How long has Freddy lasted?

Freddy has finally been declared over by the French Meteorological service. The storm was named by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology on 4 February and and finally came to an end on 14 March.

It was strong enough to be officially classified as a tropical system for at least 36 days.

However, we need to wait for confirmation by the World Meteorological Organization before we can say whether it is officially the longest-lasting recorded storm.

What is interesting about Freddy is how far it has travelled. It began its journey off the coast of north-west Australia, crossing the Southern Indian Ocean from east to west, one of only four storms in history to do so.
