Better Longer Sleep, 6 hours +. Flip side Caffeine ritual. Decaf Morning.

The general accepted ritual of drinking coffee in the western world at least, is that Caffeine is drank in the mornings to help "wake us up" and "get us going for the day", that it is "needed for us to start the day"

This hasn't fallen right with me recently especially.

I have be drinking the coffee in the mornings, even under the illusion that its waking me up and giving me that boost in the morning..

well it proved itself not so right as i would be having these crashes between 12 - 3pm.

and one morning i realized

"why do i need anything in the morning as soon as i have woke up from sleep?

Surely my body is at its most rested, strongest, most awake in the morning and should not be in any need of a drug, (which caffeine is a drug) to get me going at all.

I thought i would flip the script and turn this upside down.

I have no trouble in doing the opposite to what the mass flock of sheeple is doing, no problems at all.

So i decided to go for decaf in the morning to get me going, then later on towards the end of the working day, if i needed it, i would take a caffeine drink but not to close to bed time.

The results.

I found myself to be less tired and gouchy in the afternoon.

I did get constipated for a short time as a side effect of cleansing my body from caffeine at the time it expected it.

i felt like my sleep was a whole lot better.

I love facts, figures, I AM a realist and will always look at data above peoples opinions based on their emotions or what they see. 

I keep my own readings and data when it comes to the geological effects on the earth to see the lords coming, not just see a few earthquakes televised and think the earthquakes are high at the moment, no.

I look at the data from my watch app Garmin connect.

I could see a clear higher than normal average of sleep.

I was also getting more than 6 hours total sleep a night.

Me, when i wake, i am awake and usually can not get back to sleep and this can be very early.

In these early mornings i like to write my articles, like this one haha, when there is no-one around and less distraction to distract my ADHD brain from thinking and typing at the same time.

So, its seems that adjusting my caffeine intake time in the day has improved how much sleep i have been getting.

so if you drink coffee, energy drinks, high sugars drinks, smoke, take drugs, drink, or any other thing to give u a buzz in the morning to wake u up try quitting and letting yourself be strong enough in the morning.

Few things us humans need to function properly in this body, is Water and Sleep.

I think i could make my sleep even better by not having any fluid before bed maybe 7pm cut off time, may reduce any toilet trips in Early morning.

anyway just thought i would share, i didn't think it would effect me, i did, and not in a way i thought.

I thought i may have got detox symptoms like headache, i didn't, and my energy become higher during the day..

Gas and oil prices soar and shares tumble on fears conflict could escalate

Gas prices have spiked and global stock markets tumbled as the conflict in the Middle East intensified and concerns grew over how long it will last.

The UK gas price surged to its highest level for three years on Tuesday, following sharp gains on Monday, while Brent crude oil benchmark briefly rose above $85 a barrel for the first time since July 2024.

Meanwhile, the share prices of companies on US, European and Asian stock markets plunged.

Since Israel and the US launched strikes on Iran and Tehran retaliated, investors have been weighing the potential economic impact, including what it could mean for inflation and interest rates.

Iranian men accused of spying targeted journalists for 'serious violence', court hears

Three Iranian men have gone on trial in London accused of spying for Iran on UK-based journalists, who were being targeted so "serious violence" could be inflicted on them.

The prosecution said Mostafa Sepahvand, 41, was to carry out the attack, with Farhad Manesh, 46, and Shapoor Noori, 57, doing the surveillance and reconnaissance. All three were born in Iran but were living in London.

The jury at Woolwich Crown Court heard that Sepahvand does not deny his involvement but said he did it out of fear of the consequences of refusing.

The prosecution said that is "an entirely bogus claim", adding that he did it for money and to have a criminal conviction for theft in Iran "fixed".

Sepahvand was in contact with two men with Iranian telephone numbers.

According to the prosecution, Manesh and Noori are expected to say they did not know they were carrying out surveillance on behalf of Iran.

All three face charges under the National Security Act, including "assisting a foreign intelligence service".

Prosecutor Bill Emlyn Jones KC said the men's targets were journalists working for Iran International - a Persian-language satellite channel that is critical of the Tehran regime and has its headquarters in London.

Jones said at least two journalists linked to Iran International were targeted in the surveillance.

UK ‘threatens to expel 27 Israeli diplomats’ over Jerusalem consulate

 

Israel ordered East Jerusalem consulate to be closed in retaliation for British sanctioning of settlements in the occupied West Bank.

The United Kingdom has threatened to expel 27 Israeli diplomats should Israel proceed with plans to close the British consulate in occupied East Jerusalem, according to unverified Israeli media reports.

The Ynet outlet reported on Monday that the British Ambassador to Israel, Simon Walters, had conveyed the warning to Israeli officials. Israel ordered the closure of the consulate by October 8 in retaliation for the British decision to sanction illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Australian court rejects activist’s bid to prosecute Britain’s King Charles for genocide

 

A bid to prosecute King Charles III reached an international court before being thrown out, according to reports by ABC News and the Associated Press.

The decision was handed down by three judges in Victoria's Court of Appeal in Australia, who dismissed an attempt by Indigenous activist and elder Robbie Thorpe to bring a private prosecution against the monarch.

King Charles, who has a house locally in the Cotswolds, is Australia's head of state as well as the King of the United Kingdom.

The ruling leaves Mr Thorpe with one remaining domestic avenue, seeking permission to appeal to Australia's High Court.

Britain’s bluetongue outbreak hits record levels after hot summer

 

Testing and support for animals with a potentially deadly virus will be "ramped up" ahead of a projected peak in cases, the UK's chief veterinary officer has said.

Cases of bluetongue virus (BTV) - an insect-borne viral disease affecting sheep and cattle among other animals - have risen to 395 across the UK because of the long, hot summer, according to the latest government data released on Thursday.

Farmers in Exmoor, Somerset, said they had lost livestock to the disease, which was having a personal effect on families.

Christine Middlemiss, the UK's chief veterinary officer, said it was "absolutely the worst" outbreak the UK had seen, exacerbated by the "ongoing hot weather".

Yemen's government announces all-out war to reclaim land from Houthis

The head of Yemen's internationally recognised government has announced it will wage an all out war in an effort to take all territory held by the Houthis.

It follows an exchange of strikes between the Houthis and the Saudi-led coalition in recent days.

The Iran-backed group said it had struck sites belonging to Saudi national oil company Aramco, in response to what it described as 50 Saudi-led coalition strikes in 12 hours. Saudi Arabia has yet to comment.

The Yemeni government's fierce statement was expected after the Houthis' offensive last month, which saw them seize control of the country's coastline, including the vital shipping lane of the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Prime Minister Mark Carney admitted last week that he has prepared for a once-unthinkable scenario - a US invasion.

Noting the risk was low and the likelihood highly improbable, he told the New York Times he had a responsibility to consider all possibilities as the US-Canada relationship is redefined under the Donald Trump presidency.

"That's just risk management," Carney said.

Trump's global tariffs and his often-repeated desire to make Canada the 51st state has led Canada to war game an attack by the Americans.

In 2025, the US president said it was "highly unlikely" that the US would ever use force against Canada. Instead he said, he would continue to exert economic pressures to obtain political aims.

"President Trump has done more than anyone to protect the great people of Canada," the White House told the BBC in a statement this week.

Military experts who spoke to the BBC also think an invasion is a long shot, pointing to the multiple ways the two countries work together on defence.

But the issue is clearly weighing on Canadians' minds.

In January, after the US captured Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela, a Leger poll suggested that over 30% of Canadians believed that a US invasion was likely.

Colombo, September 4 (Daily Mirror) - The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) has issued landslide warnings for 13 Divisional Secretariat (DS) divisions across five districts, with the warnings remaining in effect until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow (October 5).

The warnings have been issued under Alert Levels One and Two, as several areas remain vulnerable to landslides and related hazards.

Under Alert Level Two, warnings are in effect for Passara in the Badulla District; Minipe and Udadumbara in the Kandy District; Dehiowita in the Kegalle District; and Ambanganga Korale, Matale and Rattota in the Matale District.

Meanwhile, Alert Level One warnings have been issued for Udapalatha in the Kandy District; Bulathkohupitiya and Rambukkana in the Kegalle District; and Eheliyagoda, Weligepola and Ayagama in the Ratnapura District.

The NBRI has urged residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions, particularly if they observe warning signs of landslides or other related hazards.

Diesel prices in NI at highest level since Iran war began

Diesel prices in Northern Ireland are at their highest level since the Iran conflict began, according to Consumer Council data.

It shows that over the past week the average price of a litre of diesel was 193.3p.

That is below the record average of 197.2p in the summer of 2022, following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, however some filling stations have already being charging £2 a litre.

Before the US-Israeli attack on Iran in February, a litre of diesel cost about 132p.

The Consumer Council data also suggests average petrol prices in Northern Ireland reached a post-Iran war high of 167.2p a litre over the past week.

That compares with about 124p a litre before the conflict began but well below the peak of almost 190p in the summer of 2022.

Data from the UK's Department for Transport shows that motorists in Northern Ireland are more reliant on diesel than those in other parts of the UK.

The figures suggest that just over half the private cars on Northern Ireland's roads use diesel, compared with a UK average of a third.

Sales of new diesel cars in Northern Ireland have fallen sharply in recent years in line with a trend across the UK.

Drought could continue into 2027, says water firm

One of the biggest water companies in England has warned that drought conditions could continue into 2027.

Anglian Water, which supplies services to around seven million customers across the East of England, said this year's back-to-back heatwaves had been exacerbated by a "severe" lack of rain.

Levels at its Grafham Water reservoir in Cambridgeshire stand at 60% of full capacity, almost 30% lower than where they should be.

Laura Tuplin, water resources manager at Anglian Water, explained the situation had been made worse by low groundwater and river levels.

"The rivers we abstract from are very low so we can't take water from some of them to protect the environment," she said.

"What we need is a prolonged period of rainfall."
