One of them is a man in his 40s who is in critical condition, the Magen David Adom emergency group says, while the other is a woman in her 30s who is lightly-to-moderately injured.

Two drones are said to have entered in the latest apparent Hezbollah attack, one of which was intercepted.

The United Nations has sacked nine UNRWA staff members Accused of Taking Part in Hamas / Israel conflict on Oct. 7

The United Nations has sacked nine UNRWA staff members it says may have been involved in the October 7th attacks on Israel. It comes as Israel returns the bodies of 89 Palestinians to Gaza who couldn't be identified due to the advanced level of decomposition.

The United Nations says nine employees of its agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, may have been involved in the October 7 attack on southern Israel by Hamas.

It launched the investigation after Israel claimed 12 UNRWA staff took part in the attacks which triggered the most recent war in Gaza.

Israel intensified its accusations in March, saying more than 450 UNRWA staff were military operatives in Gazan militant groups.

UN spokesman Farhan Haq says those nine members of staff have been dismissed but the organisation will need to evaluate any further steps to fully corroborate the allegations.

Al Jazeera journalist, cameraman killed in Israeli attack on Gaza

Al Jazeera Arabic journalist Ismail al-Ghoul and his cameraman Rami al-Rifi have been killed in an Israeli air attack on the Gaza Strip.

The reporters were killed when their car was hit on Wednesday in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, according to initial information.

They were in the area to report from near the Gaza house of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas who was assassinated in the early hours of Wednesday in Iran’s capital, Tehran, in an attack the group has blamed on Israel.

Al Jazeera’s Anas al-Sharif, reporting from Gaza, was at the hospital where the bodies of his two colleagues were brought.

“Ismail was conveying the suffering of the displaced Palestinians and the suffering of the wounded and the massacres committed by the [Israeli] occupation against the innocent people in Gaza,” he said.

“The feeling – no words can describe what happened.”

Iran Raises Red Flag Of Revenge after Ismail Haniyeh Assassination.

Tehran- Minutes after Iran’s Supreme Leader promised a “harsh punishment” for Israel in retaliation for assassination of Palestinian leader Ismail Haniyeh in  Tehran on Wednesday, a symbolic red flag was hoisted atop a major mosque in the holy city of Qom.

The flag has been raised for the sixth time in Iran’s history.

Last time the flag appeared on the eve of Iran’s unprecedented missile and drone attack on Israel in April this year.
Iranian Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei earlier had promised “harsh punishment” for Israel in retaliation for the killing of Hamas’s political leader.

“The criminal and terrorist Zionist regime martyred our dear guest in our house and made us bereaved,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a statement on Wednesday, adding that “it also prepared the ground for a harsh punishment for itself.”

He said it was Iran’s duty to avenge the assassination of Haniyeh, who was in the Iranian capital for the inauguration of President Masoud Pezeshkian.
